An on-line high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-diode array detector (DAD)-mass spectrometry (MS) analytical method has been developed to simultaneously separate and identify seventeen main constituents of Chuanxiong ( Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort.), a traditional Chinese medicinal herb.
