The difference between “weather” and “climate” is often a common source of misconception and not always clearly defined. A typical definition is that given by the Webster dictionnary (1994), which states that climate is “the average course or condition of the weather at a place usually over a period of years as exhibited by temperature, wind velocity, and precipitation”.
