The performances of various apodization profiles, namely Gaussian, raised sine and hamming function for unchirped fiber Bragg grating are presented. The performances investigated include reflectivity, full width half maximum bandwidth, and sidelobe level. Transfer matrix method was adopted to solve the coupled mode equation to simulate the spectral profile of the apodized fiber Bragg gratings.
