A bstractWe propose a recipe — arguably the simplest — to compute the holographic type-B Weyl anomaly for general higher-derivative gravity in asymptotically AdS spacetimes. In 5 and 7 dimensions we identify a suitable basis of curvature invariants that allows to read off easily, without any further computation, the Weyl anomaly coefficients of the dual CFT. We tabulate the contributions from quadratic, cubic and quartic purely algebraic curvature invariants and also from terms involving…
Holographic Weyl anomaly for GJMS operators: one Laplacian to rule them all
A bstractThe holographic Weyl anomaly for GJMS operators (or conformal powers of the Laplacian) are obtained in four and six dimensions. In the context of AdS/CFT correspondence, free conformal
Can we change c in four-dimensional CFTs by exactly marginal deformations?
A bstractThere is no known obstructions, but we have not been aware of any concrete examples, either. The Wess-Zumino consistency condition for the conformal anomaly says that a cannot change but
On the Weyl anomaly of 4D conformal higher spins: a holographic approach
A bstractWe present a first attempt to derive the full (type-A and type-B) Weyl anomaly of four dimensional conformal higher spin (CHS) fields in a holographic way. We obtain the type-A and type-B
On the Curvature Invariants of the Massive Banados-Teitelboim-Zanelli Black Holes and Their Holographic Pictures
In this paper, the curvature structure of a (2+1)-dimensional black hole in the massive-charged-Born-Infeld gravity is investigated. The metric that we consider is characterized by four degrees of
Causality and a-theorem Constraints on Ricci Polynomial and Riemann Cubic Gravities
In this paper, we study Einstein gravity extended with Ricci polynomials and derive the constraints on the coupling constants from the considerations of being ghost-free, exhibiting an a-theorem and
One-loop divergences in 7D Einstein and 6D conformal gravities
The aim of this note is to unveil a striking equivalence between the one-loop divergences in 7D Einstein and 6D Conformal Gravities. The particular combination of 6D pointwise Weyl invariants of the
Matching one‐loop divergences in 7D Einstein and 6D Conformal Gravities

Holographic (a,c) charges and their universal relation in d=6 from massless higher-order gravities
Recent studies of holographic properties of massless higher-order gravities, whose linear spectrum contains only the (massless) graviton, yielded some universal relations in d=4 dimensions between

Supersymmetry Constraints in Holographic Gravities
Supersymmetric higher derivative gravities define superconformal field theories via the AdS/CFT correspondence. From the boundary theory viewpoint, supersymmetry implies a relation between the
Determinant and Weyl anomaly of the Dirac operator: a holographic derivation
We present a holographic formula relating functional determinants: the fermion determinant in the one-loop effective action of bulk spinors in an asymptotically locally AdS background and the
A note on holographic Weyl anomaly and entanglement entropy
We develop a general approach to simplify the derivation of the holographic Weyl anomaly. As an application, we derive the holographic Weyl anomaly from general higher derivative gravity in
New modes from higher curvature corrections in holography
A bstractIn gravitational theories involving higher curvature corrections the metric describes additional degrees of freedom beyond the graviton. Holographic duality maps these to operators in the
Holographic trace anomaly and local renormalization group
A bstractThe Hamilton-Jacobi method in holography has produced important results both at a renormalization group (RG) fixed point and away from it. In this paper we use the Hamilton-Jacobi method to
The holographic Weyl anomaly
We calculate the Weyl anomaly for conformal field theories that can be described via the adS/CFT correspondence. This entails regularizing the gravitational part of the corresponding supergravity
Holographic studies of quasi-topological gravity
Quasi-topological gravity is a new gravitational theory including curvaturecubed interactions and for which exact black hole solutions were constructed. In a holographic framework, classical
Holographic stress tensor at finite coupling
