Severe outbreaks of bunch rots (BR) have occurred recently during harvest of table grapes (Vitis vinifera L.) in Chile. Previously, BR was almost exclusively associated with Botrytis cinerea Pers.:Fr. (2,3); however, in 2000 to 2002, BR symptoms were associated with black molds and possibly nonfilamentous yeasts and bacteria. Cvs. Thompson Seedless, Flame Seedless, Ruby Seedless, and Red Globe were severely affected. Symptoms start at the pedicels as soft, watery rots that partially or… Expand
First Report of Rhizopus stolonifer Causing Rhizopus Bunch Rot on Grapes in Pakistan
This is the first report of Rhizopus stolonifer causing bunch rot of grapes in Pakistan and the morphology of the fungus that was re-isolated from each of the inoculated berries was identical to that of the original cultures. Expand
Rhizopus stolonifer (Soft Rot)
Volatiles, hypobaric atmospheres, salts, minerals, plant phenolics, hot water, wax and salicylic acid have resulted in good control methods with promising applications, and chitosan, a widely known chitin derivative, alone or in combination with other natural products, has been able to reduce significantly Rhizopus soft rot on various horticultural commodities at various concentrations. Pre- and post-infection activity of new fungicides against Botrytis cinérea and other fungi causing decay of table grapes
The pre- and post-infection activity of new fungicides against Botrytis cinerea and other fungi causing decay of table grapes was studied and was found to be signifi cant (p < 0.001) and, with one exception, it was signifi cantly affected by the application method. Expand
Effect of boscalid on postharvest decay of strawberry caused by Botrytis cinerea and Rhizopus stolonifer
Fungicide treatments using new reduced-risk fungicides can be useful to extend strawberry shelf life for over a 15 day period, however, further research is needed to establish a commercial recommendation. Expand
Ochratoxigenic Aspergillus species on grapes from Chilean vineyards and Aspergillus threshold levels on grapes.
Red wines elaborated with 0.5% of grapes infected with an OTA-producing strain of A. carbonarius (Aspuc-SB36) exceeded the 2 microg/L of OTA tolerance established for wines by the European Community, and a threshold below 0. Expand
The effect of preharvest fungicide and postharvest sulfur dioxide use on postharvest decay of table grapes caused by
Abstract Postharvest diseases are the most important factors that limit commercial export of Chilean table grapes ( Vitis vinifera ). In recent years, blue mold decay caused by Penicillium expansumExpand
Effectiveness of Grape (Vitis Vinifera L.) Seed Extracts on Fungi and Bacteria Management
Grape ( Vitis vinifera  L.) seeds from 3 grape varieties were powdered and the fatty material was extracted. These extracts were tested for grape storage restriction fungi  Botrytis cinerea,Expand

Table grape (Vitis vinifera L.)
Abstract: Table grapes produce clusters of berries on deciduous woody vines. The berries are simple non-climacteric fleshy fruits. Currently, ‘Thompson Seedless’, ‘Red Globe’ and ‘Flame Seedless’ areExpand
The status of Botryosphaeriaceae species infecting grapevines.
Vineyard sanitation techniques, as well as chemical, biological, and cultural control strategies available at the present time to reduce the infection caused by botryosphaeriaceous fungi, are presented in this review. Expand
