We previously reported that in vitro hypoxic condition enhanced VEGF level and its receptor expression in hepatic cancer cell line, HepG2. Transcatheter hepatic arterial embolization (TAE) therapy is one of the vasculo-occlusive and hypoxic challenges to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
