Abstract Introduction: The homeostasis of magnesium (Mg) is perturbed in chronic kidney disease. It has been supposed that plasma Mg has a principal role to regulate the secretion of parathyroid hormone (PTH). Plasma Mg is capable of modulating secretion of PTH.
