An experiment was undertaken on a total one hundred eighty, guinea fowls (Numida meleagris) of day old age, which were randomly divided into four groups [Control, Bael (Aegle marmelos), Chelidonium (Chelidonium majus) and Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa) mother tincture], each group having three replications consisting of fifteen guinea fowls each, for a period of 12 weeks to test their effect on serum biochemical profile and immune response. Results revealed that inclusion of Bael, Chelidonium…

Effects of Aegle marmelos leaf extract on seminal electrophoretic proteins of mice (Mus musculus) in relation to antifertility
TLDR
Significant increase in anodic protein concentration in semen of Aegle marmelos treated mice may add more negative charges on sperm surface membrane which affect capacitation and fertilizing ability of spermatozoa that may cause infertility among treated group of mice.

Hypoglycaemic effect of a combination of Pleurotus ostreatus, Murraya koenigii and Aegle marmelos in diabetic rats
TLDR
The study revealed that the combination produced synergistic effects on lowering of blood glucose levels, serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels when compared to individual plant extracts.

TLDR
The results confirmed that Nelumbo nucifera and Aegle marmelos provide a detoxification mechanism for heavy metals in common carp.
Ukrain, a thiophosphoric acid derivative of alkaloids of Chelidonium majus L., is effective in the treatment of recurrent bronchopulmonary pathology in children from areas contaminated after the chernobyl accident
TLDR
The strong immunomodulatory effect of Ukrain was indicated through the improvement in specific humoral and cellular immunity: increases in the immunoglobulin G (IgG) level, the phagocytic activity of neutrophils, the number of total lymphocytes, T-lymphocytes and T- helpers, and the T-helpers/suppressors ratio.
Immunomodulatory activities of Punarnavine, an alkaloid from Boerhaavia diffusa
TLDR
Punarnavine significantly reduced the LPS induced elevated levels of proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 in mice and showed enhanced proliferation of splenocytes, thymocytes and bone marrow cells both in the presence and absence of specific mitogens in vitro and in vivo.
Chelidonium majus 30C and 200C in induced hepato-toxicity in rats.
Immunomodulatory activity of Aegle marmelos in freshwater fish (Catla catla) by non-specific protection
Context: The production of fish is limited by infectious diseases; when a fish grows in an immunosuppressed condition, it becomes highly susceptible to disease. Objective: The present research work
ANTISTRESS ACTIVITY OF BOERHAAVIA DIFFUSA ROOT EXTRACT AND A POLYHERBAL FORMULATION CONTAINING BOERHAAVIA DIFFUSA USING COLD RESTRAINT STRESS MODEL
TLDR
HEBD and PHF‐09 were found to have comparable antistress activity and there was an imbalance in the levels of biochemical parameters like glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol,  SGOT, SGPT which were near normalized following  the administration  of HEBD and PHF‐ 09.
