Summary The inoculation of roller tube tissue cultures of human tissues with vesicle fluid derived from patients with varicella has resulted in the isolation of six cytopathogenic agents. Two of the strains have been maintained for 10 tissue culture passages by employing tissue suspensions as the passage material.
