SummaryTubercularia vulgaris produces extracellular pectolytic activity in solid state culture using citrus pulp pellets as a carbon source. Five peaks containing hydrolase activities were separated by ion exchange chromatography (DEAE-Sephacel). Two enzymatic forms, PG II and PG III, were purified about 8 and 10 fold, respectively. The molecular weight of PG II was similar to that of PG III (24.000 Da). The two enzymes had similar endo activities on polygalacturonic acid, as determined by…
Separation of the components of pectinolytic complex produced byPolyporus souamosus in submerged culture
TLDR
Seven peaks containing hydrolase activities were separated by ion exchange chromatography (DEAE-Fractogel) and four enzymatic forms, PG I, PG II, PG VI and PG VII were purified, and partly characterized.
The Pectinase produced by Tubercularia vulgaris in submerged culture using pectin or orange-pulp pellets as inducer
Pectinase production by Tubercularia vulgaris using orange-pulp pellets (OPP) or citrus pectin as carbohydrate sources was investigated. The highest levels of extracellular polygalacturonase were
Biotechnological Applications of Biocatalysts from the Firmicutes Bacillus and Geobacillus Species
TLDR
The ability of these bacteria to produce a variety of extracellular enzymes, such as amylases, xylanases, proteases, phytases, carbonic anhydrases, catalases, pectinases and others, has ranked them among the most important enzyme producers.
Production and Partial Purification Of Protease By Fusarium spp. By Solid State Fermentation.
In this paper, A strain οf Fusarium spp., is grown on potato dextrose agar and on wheat bran Czapek Dox medium. It was found to produce neutral protease. Fructose, when added to the culture medium
Production and purification of β-glucosidase and protease by Fusarium proliferatum NRRL 26517 grown on Ficus nitida wastes
TLDR
Fusarium proliferatum (Matsushima) Nirenberg NRRL 26517 was the best fungus for the production of the two enzymes, and Cellobiose followed by salicin were the best substrates for β-glu- cosidase activity, and casein was thebest one for protease activity.
Comparison of Osmotic Stress on Growth and Pectinase Production by Aspergillus flavus in Liquid and Solid-State Cultures
TLDR
A comparative study on the effect of osmotic stress on the growth and pectinase production by Aspergillus flavus was undertaken; however the study could not establish the best substrate.
Growth Kinetics and Esterase/Lipase Production by Thermophilic Fungi Grown in Solid State Fermentation on Olive Cake
Three thermophilic fungal strainsRhizopus homothallicus 13a,Rhizomucor pusillus S5 andRhizomucor pusillus S8 were grown in solid state fermentation on sugar cane bagasse-olive cake mixture (50% each)
Solid-State Fermentation Technology for Bioconversion of Biomass and Agricultural Residues
TLDR
In this chapter some important aspects of solid-state cultivation system have been discussed, including the variety of substrates and microorganisms used in SSF for the production of various end products; and the performance control of system by regulation of important factors.

Pectolytic Activity of Phytopathogenic Xanthomonads
TLDR
Cultures of 10 of 19 nomenspecies of the genus Xanthomonas liquefied a nutrient pectate gel, and the polygalacturonic acid trans-eliminase excreted by the tested xanthomonads degraded polygalactic acid in a random manner.
Susceptibility of strawberry varieties to breakdown in sulphite by endopolygalacturonase from zygomycete spoilage fungi
TLDR
Differences were observed in the texture and susceptibility to enzymic breakdown of sulphited fruit of eight strawberry varieties, which may be related to the occurrence of natural enzyme inhibitors and/or fruit structure.
