A novel, rapid, and economical method to isolate and purify natural sulforaphane from broccoli seeds is described. The procedure involves solvent extraction of autolyzed seed meal, followed by separation by solid phase extraction (SPE) and purification by preparative high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
