The coloured feathers of Carduelis spinus (Siskin), C. flammea (Redpoll), Serinus serinus (Serin), Loxia curvirostra (Crossbill), Pinicola enucleator (Grossbeak), Carpodacus roseus (Pallas Rosefinch) and Pyrrhula pyrrhula (Bullfinch) have been extracted with a new procedure using mild conditions (a few minutes at room temperature).
