A new communication-theoretic framework for evaluating the performance of static ad hoc wireless networks (e.g., sensor networks) in terms of bit-error-rate (BER) has been introduced (Tonguz, O.K. and Ferrari, G., Carnegie Mellon University, ECE Dept., Tech.
