Sensitivity of mitomycin-C treated McCoy cells for isolation ofChlamydia trachomatis from genital specimens

Abstract

A new cell culture method was developed for the diagnostic isolation of Chlamydia trachomatis using McCoy cells pretreated with mitomycin-C.
