Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) effect is quite preferred to detect trace pollutants, and reusable SERS substrate is of important practical value. In this research, a kind of effective SiO2 nanorods (NRs)@ Au nanoparticles (NPs) substrate was fabricated completely with physical methods, and it was quite sensitive so that 1 × 10(-6) M monochlorobiphenyl (CB) could be detected.
