Comparative studies were carried out using two different insect cell lines, Aedes albopictus and Estigmene acrea, for Tipula iridescent virus (TIV) propagation. Light microscope autoradiography showed viral DNA present in viroplasmic centers (VCs) and an inhibition of nuclear DNA synthesis.
