The nature of the kagome Heisenberg antiferromagnet (HAFM) is under ongoing debate. While recent evidence points towards a Z_2 topological spin liquid, the exact nature of the topological phase is still unclear. In this paper, we introduce semionic Resonating Valence Bond (RVB) states, this is, Resonating Valence Bond states which are in the Z_2 ordered double-semion phase, and study them using Projected Entangled Pair States (PEPS). We investigate their physics and study their suitability as…

Topological Z2 resonating-valence-bond quantum spin liquid on the ruby lattice

We construct a short-range resonating valence-bond state (RVB) on the ruby lattice, using projected entangled-pair states (PEPS) with bond dimension $D=3$. By introducing non-local moves to the dimer

Gapped SU(3) spin liquid with Z3 topological order

We construct a topological spin liquid (TSL) model on the kagome lattice, with SU(3) symmetry with the fundamental representation at each lattice site, based on Projected Entangled Pair States

Study of anyon condensation and topological phase transitions from a Z4 topological phase using the projected entangled pair states approach

We use Projected Entangled Pair States (PEPS) to study topological quantum phase transitions. The local description of topological order in the PEPS formalism allows us to set up order parameters

Study of anyon condensation and topological phase transitions from a Z 4 topological phase using Projected Entangled Pair States

We use Projected Entangled Pair States (PEPS) to study topological quantum phase transitions. The local description of topological order in the PEPS formalism allows us to set up order parameters

Tensor Network States, Entanglement, and Anomalies of Topological Phases of Matters

This dissertation investigates two aspects of topological phases of matter: 1) the tensor network state (TNS) representations of the ground states as well as their entanglement entropies of gapped

Entanglement entropy from tensor network states for stabilizer codes

This paper uses the TNS formalism to obtain the entanglement spectrum and entropy of these ground-states for some special cuts of 3D stabilizer codes, and conjecture that the negative linear correction to the area law is a signature of extensive ground state degeneracy.
