By incorporating semiconductor nanocrystals in carrier-transporting polymers, an interesting class of photoconductive nanocomposites is created. The presence of semiconductor nanocrystals enhances the photoinduced charge generation efficiency and extends the sensitivity range, while the polymer matrix is responsible for charge transport.
