The present study was undertaken to examine the protective effect of selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) in the progression of diabetic nephropathy (DN). Diabetes was induced in male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats by injecting streptozotocin (STZ) (55mg/kg, i.p). DN was then assessed by measuring blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine, albumin, fibronectin and collagen.
