Advances in the neurobiology of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the availability of modern psychotropics have led to renewed interest in the pharmacotherapy of this disorder. In this paper we focus on trials of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) in PTSD.
