This paper reports on liquid (deionized water) microlenses that are intrinsically formed and integrated within microfluidics through pneumatic manipulation of fluids inside microchannels. Such microlenses are formed via liquid-air interfaces of liquid droplets, which are pinned at T-shaped junctions of channels.
