We obtain a solution of the Seiberg-Witten map for the gauge sector of multiple D$p$-branes in large R-R $(p-1)$-form background up to the first-order in the inverse R-R field background. Applying the solution of Seiberg-Witten map and then electric-magnetic duality on the non-commutative D3-brane theory in large R-R 2-form background to show the expected commutative diagram of Seiberg-Witten map and electric-magnetic duality. The multiple D-branes theory in the large R-R field background can…

D-brane in R-R field background
• Physics

The purpose of this paper is to understand the low energy effective theory ofa Dp-brane in the background of a large constant R-R (p − 1)-form field. We start with the M5-brane theory in large

A bstractWe construct the low-energy effective field theory for a D3-brane in constant R-R 2-form potential background as the S-dual theory of a D3-brane in NS-NS B-field background. Despite the

We investigate the Bagger-Lambert-Gustavsson model associated with the Nambu-Poisson algebra as a theory describing a single M5-brane. We argue that the model is a gauge theory associated with the
Effective action for Dp-brane in large RR (p − 1)-form background

A bstractWe construct the low energy effective action for the bosonic sector on a Dp-brane in large constant RR (p − 1)-form field background. The action is invariant under both U(1) gauge symmetry

Recently a three-dimensional field theory was derived that is consistent with all the symmetries expected of the worldvolume action for multiple M2-branes. In this note we examine several physical
The non-abelian Born-Infeld action and noncommutative gauge theory
In this paper we explicitly show the equivalence between the non-abelian Born-Infeld action, which was proposed by Tseytlin as an effective action on several D-branes, and its noncommutative
M2 to D2 revisited

We present two derivations of the multiple D2 action from the multiple M2-brane model proposed by Bagger-Lambert and Gustavsson. The first one is to start from Lie 3-algebra associated with given
Gauge symmetry and supersymmetry of multiple M2-branes

In previous work we proposed a field theory model for multiple M2-branes based on an algebra with a totally antisymmetric triple product. In this paper we gauge a symmetry that arises from the
D-brane Physics and Noncommutative Yang-Mills Theory
We discuss the physics of a single Dp-brane in the presence of a background electromagnetic field B_{ij}. It has recently been shown \cite{SW} that, in a specific \alpha ' \to 0 limit, the physics of
