This paper presents a multi-platform, open-source application that aims to protect data stored and shared in existing cloud storage services. The access to the cryptographic material used to protect data is implemented using the identification and authentication functionalities of national electronic identity (eID) tokens. All peer to peer dialogs to exchange cryptographic material is implemented using the cloud storage facilities. Furthermore, we have included a set of mechanisms to prevent…

TwinCloud: A Client-Side Encryption Solution for Secure Sharing on Clouds Without Explicit Key Management
TLDR
TwinCloud is an innovative cloud storage solution which goal is to provide a secure cloud system to users without compromising any of the advantages the clouds have to offer, and is compared to other cloud storage systems.
TwinCloud: Secure cloud sharing without explicit key management
TLDR
Serving as a gateway, TwinCloud stores the encryption keys and encrypted files in separate clouds which ease the secure sharing without a need for trust to either of the cloud service providers with the assumption that they do not collude with each other.

Secure Hardware-Based Public Cloud Storage
TLDR
The proposed solution is based on highly secure and attack-resistant hardware-based encryption applied through the use of the Austrian citizen card public key infrastructure, and the service overhead and additional requirements are lower in comparison to other approaches.
On the security of cloud storage
In a connected world where companies can operate anywhere through internet and where customers and employees use more than a single device to access, consume and produce content, companies are being
Measurements for the Paranoid: The Effect of Encrypting Files in Cloud Storage
TLDR
Tests are performed with Dropbox, a service that uses many smart synchronization techniques, in a worst case manner and ECB and CBC modes of operation are compared to no encryption in light of the data exchange needed for synchronization.
