Fractionation of an EtOAc-soluble fraction of the solid fermentate of an endophytic fungus, Lachnum abnorme Mont. BCRC 09F0006, derived from the endemic plant, Ardisia cornudentata Mez. (Myrsinaceae), resulted in the isolation of three new chromones, lachnochromonins D–F (1–3), one novel compound, lachabnormic acid (4), along with nine known compounds (5–13). Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analyses. Alternariol-3,9-dimethyl ether (6) was given the correct data as well as 2D… Expand

Secondary metabolites and bioactivity of the endophytic fungus Phomopsis theicola from Taiwanese endemic plant
A new cytochalasan named as phomocytochalasin, together with five previously identified compounds, were isolated from the solid fermentate of Phomopsis theicola BCRC 09F0213, an endophytic fungus isolate from the leaves of an endemic Formosan plant Litsea hypophaea Hayata. Expand
Cytotoxic metabolites from the fungal endophyte Alternaria sp. and their subsequent detection in its host plant Polygonum senegalense.
From the Egyptian medicinal plant Polygonum senegalense the fungal endophyte Alternaria sp. was isolated. Extracts of the fungus grown either in liquid culture or on solid rice media exhibitedExpand
Isolation, structure elucidation, and mutagenicity of four alternariol derivatives produced by the mangrove endophytic fungus No. 2240
A new alternariol derivative, 2240B (1), together with alternariol (2), alternariol 4,10-dimethyl ether (3), and alternariol 4-methyl ether (4), was isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of theExpand
Metabolites with nematicidal and antimicrobial activities from the ascomycete Lachnum papyraceum (Karst.) Karst. III. Production of novel isocoumarin derivatives, isolation, and biological activities.
During investigations on the influence of CaBr2 on the secondary metabolism of Lachnum papyraceum, the production of mycorrhizins and lachnumon type antibiotics was strongly inhibited in bromide-containing culture media, and six isocoumarin derivatives exhibited only weak antimicrobial, cytotoxic, phytotoxic and nematicidal activities. Expand
New metabolites with nematicidal and antimicrobial activities from the ascomycete Lachnum papyraceum (Karst.) Karst. VIII. Isolation, structure determination and biological activities of minor metabolites structurally related to mycorrhizin A.
Five new minor metabolites have been isolated from extracts of the culture fluids of the ascomycete Lachnum papyraceum and are structurally related to the nematicidal and antibiotic mycorrhizin A, which also is produced by the fungus. Expand
Biological evaluation of secondary metabolites from the roots of Myrica adenophora.
Bioassay-guided fractionation of the roots of Myrica adenophora led to isolation of 24 known compounds and hitherto unknown compounds, including three A-type proanthocyanidins [adenodimerins A-C],Expand
[A new sesquiterpenoid from fungus Colletotrichum sp. and its cytotoxicity].
