1. The specific activity of renal cortical (Na+ + K+)-ATPase of the Richardson ground squirrel is markedly reduced during hibernation, in contrast to the specific activity of the accompanying Mg2+-ATPase which is markedly increased. 2. The sensitivity of (Na+ + K+)-ATPase to inhibition by ouabain is unchanged by hibernation. 3.
