We study discovery prospects for long-lived sterile neutrinos at the LHC with multitrack displaced vertices, with masses below the electroweak scale. We reinterpret current displaced vertex searches making use of publicly available, parametrized selection efficiencies for modeling the detector response to displaced vertices. We focus on production of right-handed $W_{R}$ bosons and neutrinos $N$ in a left-right symmetric model, and find poor sensitivity. After proposing a different trigger…

Displaced vertices as probes of sterile neutrino mixing at the LHC
We investigate the reach at the LHC to probe light sterile neutrinos with displaced vertices. We focus on sterile neutrinos $N$ with masses $m_{N} \sim $ (5-30) GeV, that are produced in rare decays
Revisiting the LHC reach in the displaced region of the minimal left-right symmetric model
We revisit discovery prospects for a long-lived sterile neutrino $N$ at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in the context of left-right symmetric theories. We focus on a displaced vertex search strategy
Probing neutrino Dirac mass in left-right symmetric models at the LHC and next generation colliders
We assess the sensitivity of the LHC, its high energy upgrade, and a prospective 100 TeV hadronic collider to the Dirac Yukawa coupling of the heavy neutrinos in left-right symmetric models (LRSMs).
Displaced heavy neutrinos from Z′ decays at the LHC
Abstract We study the LHC sensitivity to probe a long-lived heavy neutrino N in the context of Z′ models. We focus on displaced vertex signatures of N when pair produced via a Z′, decaying to
Search for light sterile neutrinos from W± decays at the LHC
We study the feasibility to observe sterile neutrinos with masses in the range 5 GeV $< m_N < 20$ GeV at the LHC, using exclusive semileptonic modes involving pions, $W\to \ell N \to \pi \ell\ell,

A bstractWe consider the physics reach at the high luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) using the timing capability of a minimum ionizing particle (MIP) timing layer and the electromagnetic calorimeter in the CMS
Long-lived heavy neutrinos from Higgs decays
A bstractWe investigate the pair-production of right-handed neutrinos via the Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson in a gauged B − L model. The right-handed neutrinos with a mass of few tens of GeV
Seeking for sterile neutrinos with displaced leptons at the LHC
Abstract We study the signal of long-lived sterile neutrino at the LHC produced through the decay of the W boson. It decays into charged lepton and jets. The characteristic signature is a hard
Long-lived sterile neutrinos at the LHC in effective field theory
We study the prospects of a displaced-vertex search of sterile neutrinos at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in the framework of the neutrino-extended Standard Model Effective Field Theory (νSMEFT).

Multilepton and lepton jet probes of sub-weak-scale right-handed neutrinos
We propose new searches that exploit the unique signatures of decaying sterile neutrinos with masses below ${M}_{W}$ at the LHC, where they can be produced in rare decays of Standard Model gauge
Probing the Type I Seesaw mechanism with displaced vertices at the LHC
The observation of Higgs decays into heavy neutrinos would be strong evidence for new physics associated to neutrino masses. In this work we propose a search for such decays within the Type I Seesaw
Prompt signals and displaced vertices in sparticle searches for next-to-minimal gauge-mediated supersymmetric models
We study the LHC phenomenology of the next-to-minimal model of gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking, both for Run I and Run II. The Higgs phenomenology of the model is consistent with observations:
Displaced vertex searches for sterile neutrinos at future lepton colliders
A bstractWe investigate the sensitivity of future lepton colliders to displaced vertices from the decays of long-lived heavy (almost sterile) neutrinos with electroweak scale masses and detectable
Lepton-Jets and Low-Mass Sterile Neutrinos at Hadron Colliders
Sterile neutrinos, if they exist, are potential harbingers for physics beyond the Standard Model. They have the capacity to shed light on our flavor sector, grand unification frameworks, dark matter
LHC search for right-handed neutrinos in Z′ models
A bstractWe consider right-handed neutrino pair production in generic Z′ models. We propose a new, model-independent analysis using final states containing a pair of same-sign muons. A key aspect of
Neutrino jets from high-mass WR gauge bosons in TeV-scale left-right symmetric models

Left-Right Symmetric Models at the High-Intensity Frontier

Sterile neutrino searches at future $e^-e^+$, $pp$, and $e^-p$ colliders
Sterile neutrinos are among the most attractive extensions of the SM to generate the light neutrino masses observed in neutrino oscillation experiments. When the sterile neutrinos are subject to a
