Search for the Standard Model Higgs Boson at a 1 TeV e+e- Collider*

Abstract

We have used detailed Monte Carlo simulations to study strategies to search for the Standard Model Higgs boson produced in the reactions e+e+ Z”Ho and e+e+ uepeHo at an e+ecenter-of-mass energy of 1 TeV. We show that it is possible to extract a significant signal from all Standard Model backgrounds if the mass of the Higgs is not near the mass of the TV* or 2’ and is less than 400 (500) GeV h w en a data sample of 10 (30) fb-l has been collected.
