Abstract. Technicolor represents a viable alternative to the Higgs mechanism for generating gauge boson masses. Searches for technicolor particles $\rho_T$ and $\pi_T$ have been performed in the data collected by the DELPHI experiment at LEP at centre-of-mass energies between 192 and 208 GeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 452 pb$^{-1}$. Good agreement is observed with the SM expectation in all channels studied. This is translated into an excluded region in the $(M_{\pi_T},M_…

Effective Lagrangian for low-scale technicolor

We present an effective Lagrangian for low-scale technicolor. It describes the interactions at energies < or approx. M{sub {rho}{sub T}} of the lowest-lying bound states of the lightest technifermion

The status of searches for new particles and new physics during the past year at the Fermilab Tevatron, at HERA and at LEP is summarized. A discussion of the hints for the Standard Model Higgs boson

Searches for extra dimensions, gauge mediated SUSY and exotics at LEP

The results of searches for several type of physics beyond the Standard Model using data from the four LEP experiments are presented. In the absence of any excess signal events seen in the data

Physics at LEP2

The main physics topics of interest at LEP2, the CERN electron-positron collider with center-of-mass energy in the range (161-192) GeV, are reviewed. Progresses in both the precision tests of the

Strong Coupling Electroweak Symmetry Breaking

The authors review models of electroweak symmetry breaking due to new strong interactions at the TeV energy scale and discuss the prospects for their experimental tests. They emphasize the direct
