A search for pair-produced massive coloured scalar particles decaying to a four-jet final state is performed by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in proton–proton collisions at √ s = 7 TeV. The analysed data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 4.6 fb−1. No deviation from the Standard Model is observed in the invariant mass spectrum of the two-jet pairs. A limit on the scalar gluon pair production cross section of 70 pb (10 pb) is obtained at the 95 % confidence level for a scalar… Expand

A search for pair-produced resonances in four-jet final states at $\sqrt{s}$ =13 TeV with the ATLAS detector
A search for massive coloured resonances which are pair-produced and decay into two jets is presented. The analysis uses 36.7 fb−1 of √ s = 13 TeV pp collision data recorded by the ATLAS experimentExpand
Search for pair-produced resonances decaying to jet pairs in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV
Results are reported of a general search for pair production of heavy resonances decaying to pairs of jets in events with at least four jets. The study is based on up to 19.4 fb−1 of integratedExpand
Search for pair-produced dijet resonances in four-jet final states in pp collisions at sqrt[s] = 7 TeV.
A search for the pair production of a heavy, narrow resonance decaying into two jets has been performed using events collected in sqrt[s] = 7 TeV pp collisions with the CMS detector at the LHC. TheExpand
Measurement of Charge Asymmetry in Top Quark Pair Production at the Large Hadron Collider
We present a measurement of charge asymmetry in the production of top and antitop quark pairs in proton-proton collisions, in a sample of $19.6\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of data collected by the CMSExpand

A model-independent study aimed at characterising the nature of possible resonances in the jet-photon or jet-Z final state at hadron colliders and generalises the signal generation strategy that is currently pursued by ATLAS and CMS to the most general case in the considered channels. Expand
Probing top-philic sgluons with LHC Run I data
• Physics

Many theories beyond the Standard Model predict the existence of colored scalar states, known as sgluons, lying in the adjoint representation of the QCD gauge group. In scenarios where they areExpand
New physics with tt-like final states
• 2013
Various models of new physics with large production cross sections can evade detection in existing LHC searches if their dominant final state is similar to that of Standard Model (SM) tt-production.Expand
In this dissertation we present four techniques that could be used at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) to improve the e ciency with which collected data is utilized, and to help detect signals ofExpand
ATLAS draft
A measurement of the inelastic cross section is performed using the ATLAS detector with 63 μb−1 of proton-proton collisions at √ s = 13 TeV. The measurement is performed using scintillators mountedExpand
