A search for the narrow structure, X(5568), reported by the D0 Collaboration in the decay sequence X→B_{s}^{0}π^{±}, B_{s}^{0}→J/ψϕ, is presented. The analysis is based on a data sample recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC corresponding to 4.9  fb^{-1} of pp collisions at 7 TeV and 19.5  fb^{-1} at 8 TeV. No significant signal was found. Upper limits on the number of signal events, with properties corresponding to those reported by D0, and on the X production rate relative to B_{s}^{0…

Search for the Exotic Meson X(5568) with the Collider Detector at Fermilab.

A search for the exotic meson X(5568) decaying into the B_{s}^{0}π^{±} final state is performed using data corresponding to 9.6  fb^{-1} from pp[over ¯] collisions at sqrt[s]=1960  GeV recorded by

Tetraquarks with open charm flavor

Inspired by the recent report of the exotic states $X_{0}(2900)$ and $X_{1}(2900)$ with four different quark flavors in the $D^{-}K^{+}$ invariant mass distributions of the decay process

Mass spectrum and strong decays of tetraquark $${\bar{c}}{\bar{s}} qq$$ states

We systematically study the mass spectrum and strong decays of the S-wave $\bar c\bar s q q$ states in the compact tetraquark scenario with the quark model. The key ingredients of the model are the

SU(3) analysis of weak decays of doubly-heavy tetraquarks $${b\bar{c}}{q\bar{q}}$$bc¯qq¯

We study the weak decays of exotic tetraquark states $${b\bar{c}}{q\bar{q}}$$bc¯qq¯ with two heavy quarks. Under the SU(3) symmetry for light quarks, these tetraquarks can be classified into an octet

Molecular picture for X 0(2900) and X 1(2900) *

Inspired by the newly observed $X_{0}(2900)$ and $X_1(2900)$ at LHCb, the $K^*\bar{D}^*$ and $K\bar{D}_1$ interactions are proposed in the qBSE approach combined with the one-boson-exchange

Open charm and bottom tetraquarks in an extended relativized quark model

In this work we systematically calculate the mass spectra of open charm and bottom tetraquarks $qq\overline{q}\overline{Q}$ within an extended relativized quark model. The four-body relativized

Lattice investigation of exotic tetraquark channels

We perform an $n_f=2+1$ lattice study of a number of channels where past claims exist in the literature for the existence of strong-interaction-stable light-heavy tetraquarks. We find no evidence for

Are there narrow flavor-exotic tetraquarks in large- Nc QCD?

A salient feature shared by all tetraquark candidates observed in experiment is the absence of flavor-exotic states of the type $\bar a b\bar c d$, with four different quark flavors. This phenomenon

Weak decays of stable open-bottom tetraquark by SU(3) symmetry analysis

The exotic state X(5568) which was observed by D0 Collaboration is very likely to be a tetraquark state with four different valence quark flavors, though the existence was not confirmed by other

Study of the strong decays of ϕ(2170) and the future charm-tau factory

The present data imply that $\phi(2170)$ may not be an excited state of $\phi$, but is a four quark state with $ss\bar s \bar s$ constituents. Furthermore, there are no two mesons of $s\bar s$

Can $X(5568)$ be a tetraquark state?

Very recently, the D0 collaboration has reported the observation of a narrow structure, $X(5568)$, in the decay process $X(5568)\to B^0_s\pi^\pm$ using the 10.4${\rm fb}^{-1}$ data of $p\bar p$

X(5568) and its partner states

Stimulated by the recent observation of the X(5568), we study the X(5568) and its partners under the tetraquark scenario. In the framework of the color-magnetic interaction, we estimate the masses of

Asymptotic formulae for likelihood-based tests of new physics

We describe likelihood-based statistical tests for use in high energy physics for the discovery of new phenomena and for construction of confidence intervals on model parameters. We focus on the

The ATLAS Simulation Infrastructure

The simulation software for the ATLAS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider is being used for large-scale production of events on the LHC Computing Grid, including supporting the detector description, interfacing the event generation, and combining the GEANT4 simulation of the response of the individual detectors.
