A search for charged leptons with large impact parameters using 139 fb−1 of √ s = 13 TeV pp collision data from the ATLAS detector at the LHC is presented, addressing a long-standing gap in coverage of possible new physics signatures. Results are consistent with the background prediction. This search provides unique sensitivity to long-lived scalar supersymmetric lepton-partners (sleptons). For lifetimes of 0.1 ns, selectron, smuon and stau masses up to 720 GeV, 680 GeV, and 340 GeV are…

Search for long-lived particles decaying to leptons with large impact parameter in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV
A search for new long-lived particles decaying to leptons using proton-proton collision data produced by the CERN LHC at √ s = 13 TeV is presented. Events are selected with two leptons (an electron
Searching for dark radiation at the LHC
: In this work we explore the intriguing connections between searches for long-lived particles (LLPs) at the LHC and early universe cosmology. We study the non-thermal production of
Dedicated Triggers for Displaced Jets using Timing Information from Electromagnetic Calorimeter at HL-LHC
In this paper, we study the prospect of ECAL barrel timing to develop triggers dedicated to long-lived particles decaying to jets, at the level-1 of HL-LHC. We construct over 20 timing based
Review of opportunities for new long-lived particle triggers in Run 3 of the Large Hadron Collider
Long-lived particles (LLPs) are highly motivated signals of physics Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) with great discovery potential and unique experimental challenges. The LLP search programme made
Track-Based Triggers for Exotic Signatures
: Several compelling beyond the Standard Model scenarios predict signals that result in unconventional charged particle trajectories. Signatures for which unusual tracks are the most conspicuous
Searching for light new physics at the LHC via lepton-number violation
Abstract We study the collider phenomenology of a simplified model containing a right-handed W in which the WR couples predominantly to the third generation in the quark sector. The model also
Model Characterization and Dark Matter in the Secluded $U(1)^\prime$ Model
We consider a class of U (1) (cid:48) -extended MSSM in which the U (1) (cid:48) symmetry is broken by vacuum expectation values (VEVs) of four MSSM singlet fields. While one MSSM singlet field
Displaced new physics at colliders and the early universe before its first second
Displaced vertices at colliders, arising from the production and decay of longlived particles, probe dark matter candidates produced via freeze-in. If one assumes a standard cosmological history,
Mixed modulus and anomaly mediation in light of the muon g − 2 anomaly
Abstract The new measurement of the anomalous magnetic moment of muon at the Fermilab Muon g− 2 experiment has strengthened the significance of the discrepancy between the standard model prediction

Search for long-lived neutral particles in pp collisions at $${\sqrt{s}} = 13~{\text { TeV}}$$ that decay into displaced hadronic jets in the ATLAS calorimeter
This paper describes a search for pairs of neutral, long-lived particles decaying in the ATLAS calorimeter. Long-lived particles occur in many extensions to the Standard Model and may elude searches
Search for electroweak production of charginos and sleptons decaying into final states with two leptons and missing transverse momentum in √s = 13 TeV pp collisions using the ATLAS detector
A search for the electroweak production of charginos and sleptons decaying into final states with two electrons or muons is presented. The analysis is based on 139 fb$^{-1}$ of proton–proton
Search for metastable heavy charged particles with large ionisation energy loss in pp collisions at s=8 TeV using the ATLAS experiment
Many extensions of the Standard Model predict the existence of charged heavy long-lived particles, such as R -hadrons or charginos. These particles, if produced at the Large Hadron Collider, should
Searches for electroweak production of charginos, neutralinos, and sleptons decaying to leptons and W, Z, and Higgs bosons in pp collisions at 8 TeV
TLDR
Searches for the direct electroweak production of supersymmetric charginos, neutralinos, and sleptons in a variety of signatures with leptons and Z bosons are presented, with results in agreement with expectations from the standard model.
Search for long-lived particles using displaced jets in proton-proton collisions at s=13  TeV
An inclusive search is presented for long-lived particles using displaced jets. The search uses a data sample collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC in 2017 and 2018, from proton-proton
Search for displaced supersymmetry in events with an electron and a muon with large impact parameters.
TLDR
The results are the most restrictive to date on the "displaced supersymmetry" model, with the most stringent limit being obtained for a top squark lifetime corresponding to cτ=2  cm, excluding masses below 790 GeV at 95% confidence level.
Search for gauge mediated SUSY breaking topologies in ee collisions at centre-of-mass energies up to 209 GeV
Abstract. A total of 628 bp-1 of data collected with the ALEPH detector at centre-of-mass energies from 189 to 209 GeV is analysed in the search for gauge mediated SUSY breaking (GMSB) topologies.
Search for heavy neutral leptons in decays of W bosons produced in 13 TeV pp collisions using prompt and displaced signatures with the ATLAS detector
