In contrast to England (Department of Health, 2009) at the time of writing there is no published strategy for the development of services for people with dementia or their carers in Scotland. However, the Scottish Government have continued their commitment to making dementia a priority for development (Scottish Government, 2009) and there is a drive towards the development of an Integrated Care Pathway for dementia.
