For contract) K. proposes curua a word which would describe the resting and bentlegged position of Capricorn. In my Noctes Manilianae I had suggested Crura, which I still think may be right. There are two Excursus (1) on the confusions and interchanges of letters in the MSS. of Manilius (2) on the ' uersuum clausulae iteratae' or cases in which the poet has used the same two or three words in more than one passage to end a line. The number of lines in which this happens is extraordinarily great…
