This article explores various aspects of how young Slovenian and Macedonian intellectuals, belonging to the last Yugoslav generation, articulate their (new) spaces of belonging and identity. I look at their Yugoslav memories and address a relatively straightforward question: how was the former Yugoslav community imagined, interpreted, represented, rejected, accepted and in what ways has this image of community been reappropriated and reimagined by the informants?
