  • The architecture of the vasculature of the human anterior eye segment was studied by scanning electron microscopy of vascular resin casts. Regarding the major vessels it was found that the perforating branches of the anterior ciliary arteries (ACA) form an anastomozing circle which lies in the posterior portion of the ciliary muscle (intramuscular circle).
