The massless scalar field in the higher-dimensional Kerr black hole (Myers- Perry solution with a single rotation axis) has been investigated. It has been shown that the field equation is separable in arbitrary dimensions. The quasi-normal modes of the scalar field have been searched in five dimensions using the continued fraction method. The numerical result shows the evidence for the stability of the scalar perturbation of the five-dimensional Kerr black holes. The time scale of the resonant…

Gravitational Perturbations of Higher Dimensional Rotating Black Holes: Tensor Perturbations
Assessing the stability of higher-dimensional rotating black holes requires a study of linearized gravitational perturbations around such backgrounds. We study perturbations of Myers-Perry black

Klein-Gordon Field in the Rotating Black Branes Wrapped on Einstein Spaces
We show that the equation of motion for a massive scalar field coupled to the scalar curvature is separable in the n-dimensional metric with one rotation parameter (n > 4) found by Klemm, which

Radiation spectrum of a high-dimensional rotating black hole
This study extends the classical Damour-Ruffini method and discusses Hawking radiation in a (n + 4)-dimensional rotating black hole. Under the condition that the total energy and angular momentum of
Massive scalar perturbations on Myers-Perry–de Sitter black holes with a single rotation
This study investigates the stability of higher-dimensional singly rotating Myers-Perry-de Sitter (MP-dS) black holes against scalar field perturbations. The phase spaces of MP-dS black holes with
Bulk Decay of (4 + n)-Dimensional Simply Rotating Black Holes: Tensor-Type Gravitons
We study the emission in the bulk of tensor-type gravitons by a simply rotating (4 + n)-dimensional black hole. The decoupling of the radial and angular part of the graviton field equation makes it
Scalar perturbations of higher dimensional rotating and ultraspinning black holes
We investigate the stability of higher dimensional rotating black holes against scalar perturbations. In particular, we make a thorough numerical and analytical analysis of six dimensional black
Instability of ultra-spinning black holes
It has long been known that, in higher-dimensional general relativity, there are black hole solutions with an arbitrarily large angular momentum for a fixed mass [1]. We examine the geometry of the
