In this letter, a new satellite image contrast enhancement technique based on Mband wavelet transform and singular value decomposition has been proposed. The images decomposed into one low frequency and fifteen high frequency sub bands using M-band wavelet transform and estimates the singular value matrix of the low frequency subband, and, then reconstructs the enhanced image by applying inverse transform.
