Abstract

Further to 'Infection prevention and control in general practice' (art & science December 3), pathogens are often transmitted via environmental surfaces. It is common sense to frequently sanitise surfaces touched by patients, staff and visitors, such as door handles, light switches, table tops and food serving areas.
