The present study was conducted to characterize the nature of salinity, to understand the relationship between pH, EC, Ca, SAR and ESP and to develop leaching curves for the Kalipatnam drainage pilot area, India. Soils are saline sodic. A relation was developed between the ECe and EC5 for routine soil analysis. A negative correlation was observed between pH and salinity.
