Introduction.
Seasonal distribution of duikers in the different vegetation types of Taï National Park (Côte d’Ivoire)
Knowledge of species occurrence in a particular habitat and determining factors limiting its expansion are important in ecology and conservation planning. This study was carried out at Taï National
Seasonal Reproduction in Neotropical Rainforest Mammals.
TLDR
French Guiana is considered to be a rainy region, despite a pronounced dry season, so even in this seemingly aseasonal region, the reproduction of mammals is mainly regulated by environmental factors at the time of birth.
What do we know about the life-history traits of widely hunted tropical mammals?
Abstract We synthesize information on parameters useful for managing the hunting of two common mammal species that are important for local people in the Neotropics and Africa: Cuniculus paca and
The influence of sex and reproductive state on diet preference in four terrestrial mammals of the French Guianan rain forest

TLDR
A comparative analysis of stomach contents showed that the diets of males and nonpregnant females were quite comparable, while significant differences occurred in gravid females (especially of the two smallest species).
Reproductive condition of Akodon montensis Thomas and Bolomys lasiurus (Lund) (Rodentia, Muridae) based on histological and histometric analyses of testes and external characteristics of gonads
TLDR
It is suggested that the histological and histometric analysis of the gonads of males, together with the observations of external characteristics of gonad of males and females, may assist in identifying the reproductive condition of these animals.
Reproductive characteristics of the water chevrotain, Hyemoschus aquaticus
TLDR
In terms of its reproduction, the water chevrotain (as well as the other Tragulids) is situated between these two taxa, which is in complete accordance with the results obtained in previous studies on its anatomy and behaviour.

TLDR
The value of rhythm is discussed compared to other parameters involved in ecological separation of close coexisting species in the guild considered and the potential competition between these two sympatric species could be reduced by the contrasted pattern of space use which is more or less directly related to rhythm difference.
SMALL MAMMAL ENERGETICS IN GRASSLAND ECOSYSTEMS
Results of quantitative sampling of small mammal populations at different grassland sites for a 3-yr period are compared to evaluate the energy requirements and con- sumption, according to trophic
Comparison of the Diets of Frugivorous Forest Ruminants of Gabon

Climate and the food habits of ungulates on Galana Ranch
TLDR
Feeding observations were made during 21 months on semi-domesticated buffalo, eland and oryx and on cattle using the feeding minutes technique and analyses of browse leaves show that during dry periods they are comparatively rich in protein when compared with grasses.

The size of African forest artiodactyls as determined by the vegetation structure
TLDR
Non-ruminant artiodactyls (Suids), and the large rodent are apparently not subject to limitation by the vegetation density, and it appears that they are able to succeed in this niche because of etho-ecological features on the one hand, and anatomical ones on the other.
