Daptomycin is commonly used at doses >6 mg/kg/day for various indications, including infective endocarditis (IE). A systematic assessment of skeletal muscle, renal, haematological, hepatic and pulmonary toxicity of high-dose daptomycin (HDD) in IE is lacking.
