Safer Pyrotechnic Obscurants Based on Phosphorus(V) Nitride.

The potential of phosphorus(V) nitride, P3 N5  , as a replacement for red phosphorus, PR , in pyrotechnic obscurants has been theoretically and experimentally investigated.
