The surface chemistry and adsorptive behaviors of δMnO_(2) are investigated in this study. The surface chemistry (BET surface area, particle size distribution, surface functional groups and ζ potential) of δ MnO_(2) and βMnO_(2) are comparatively characterized,and the effectiveness of adsorbing different pollutants(arsenite and humic acid)is subsequently studied. δMnO_(2) shows BET surface area of 117.4 m~(2)·g~(-1) and volume average diameter of 0.11 μm; δMnO_(2) exhibits much surface hydroxyl… Expand
