A survey was conducted to determine the species of the genus Lissonota Gravenhorst, 1829 in two Iranian southern provinces of Fars and Hormozgan from February 2011 through August 2013. Six species were identified of which five species are recorded for the first time from Iran. The newly recorded species are as follows: Lissonota bivittata Gravenhorst, 1829, L. clypeator Gravenhorst, 1820, L. impressor Gravenhorst, 1829, L. pimplator (Zetterstedt, 1838) and L. proxima Fonscolombe, 1854. Two newly recorded species of the tribe Platylabini (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae, Ichneumoninae) from Iran
TLDR
The tribe Platylabini of Alborz, Guilan and Tehran provinces (North central Iran) was taxonomically studied and four species were identified including Linycus exhortator, the first recorded species from Iran. Expand

NEW AND LITTLE KNOWN SOME ICHNEUMONIDAE SPECIES (HYMENOPTERA) FROM TURKEY
TLDR
The present contribution is based upon the ichneumonids collected from two different localities of Turkey, in 1999 and 2003, where a total of six species have been recorded in the subfamilies, Banchinae and Ichneumoninae. Expand
NEW ZEALAND SPECIES OF LISSONOTA (HYMENOPTERA : ICHNEUMONIDAE)
Three new species, Lissonota atra, L. aspera and L. fulva are described and L. comparata is reinstated as a valid species. A key to the New Zealand species of Lissonota is given.
The Braconid and Ichneumonid Parasitoid Wasps: Biology, Systematics, Evolution and Ecology
TLDR
Despite the rapidly changing concepts of higher classifi cation of this superfamily (also reviewed), Quicke’s book is likely to stand as a valuable reference for some time, especially for comparative and functional morphology, basic biology, and some aspects of ecology. Expand
Spider hosts (Arachnida, Araneae) and wasp parasitoids (Insecta, Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Ephialtini) matched using DNA barcodes
TLDR
It is demonstrated that DNA can be successfully extracted from consumed host spiders and the shed pupal case of a wasp using non-destructive methods and DNA barcode sequences posted to the Barcode of Life database (BOLD). Expand
Can Townes type Malaise traps be improved? Some recent developments.
The Malaise traps are among the most important instruments for collecting day-flying (and in moonlit nights to some degree also night-flying species) of Hymenoptera and Diptera. Also other groups areExpand
