The structural characteristics of natural evergreen forests in eastern region of Thailand was studied in moist evergreen forest (MEF), hill evergreen forest (HEF) at Khao Khitchakut National Park, and in dry evergreen forest (DEF) at Khao Soi Dao Wildlife Sanctuary, Chanthaburi province during November 1999 to December 2000. The results revealed that the species numbers of trees with DBH larger than 4.5 cm. of MEF, DEF, and HEF are 135, 138, and 129 species.ha -1 DEF is found to have maximum…

Plant species diversity in different forest ecosystem of Bungoh Catchment, Sarawak, Malaysia
Bungoh catchment is located in the southern part of Sarawak, Malaysia and south east of Kuching town and densely covered by tropical forests. A study was conducted to determine species diversity and
Forest structure and species diversity of secondary forest after cultivation in relation to various sources at lower northern Thailand
The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristic of structure, species composition and species diversity in secondary mixed deciduous forest at Thung Salaeng Luang National Park, Lower
Tree Species Composition and Height-diameter Allometry of Three Forest Types in Northern Thailand
TLDR
It was found that the stem density and species were significant drivers of tree allometry and light competition and species traits were more likely to influence resource allocation determining tree architecture.
Species diversity and litter dynamics in secondary mixed deciduous forest, Thung Salaeng Lung National Park, Northern, Thailand
Abstract This study present species composition and potential of litter on carbon and nitrogen return in secondary mixed deciduous forest after shifting cultivation. The dominant species of trees

The Tropical Rain Forest: An Ecological Study
TLDR
This long-awaited book would seem to mark the end of classical tropical botany and phytogeography as subjects for scholarly pursuits, but it may well become "a record of what the rainforest was like in the twentieth century", as stated on its first page.
The Relation Between the Number of Species and the Number of Individuals in a Random Sample of an Animal Population
Part 1. It is shown that in a large collection of Lepidoptera captured in Malaya the frequency of the number of species represented by different numbers of individuals fitted somewhat closely to a
A Comparison of Some Species‐Individuals Diversity Indices Applied to Samples of Field Insects
TLDR
A comparison was made of several cumulative species/cumulative individuals indices using a statistical distribution corresponding to the species of insects in a sample from the herb stratum of a lespedeza field, finding only the index of species/square root of individual met both criteria.
Measurement of Diversity
THE ‘characteristic’ defined by Yule1 and the ‘index of diversity’ defined by Fisher2 are two measures of the degree of concentration or diversity achieved when the individuals of a population are
