The permeability and barrier properties of various solutes were studied through nanoporous alumina membranes by diffusion cell technique. Fabricated membranes were characterized by basic physic-chemical methods. The accurate thickness and roughness was determined by profilometry, the distribution of pores and pore size was detected by mercury intrusion porosimetry, textural properties were studied by scanning electron microscopy and specific surface area by BET analysis. The specific… Expand

Size-selective diffusion in nanoporous alumina membranes for a glucose affinity sensor
Abstract The retention, diffusion and structural properties of 2–4 nm nanoporous alumina membranes were investigated in view of their integration as size-selective interface in a glucose sensor.Expand
Ionic transport across tailored nanoporous anodic alumina membranes.
TLDR
Electrochemical characterization of NPAMs was performed with the samples in contact with NaCl solutions at different electrolyte concentrations, which clearly show the significant influence of the pore diameter on ions transport. Expand
