PLANT MATERIAL Leaves explants from 30 days old in vitro plants originated from seeds of highly embryogenic genotype 2HA cv. Jemalong (Nolan et al. 1989) is used for the initiation of somatic embryogenesis. Seeds are kindly provided by Dr. Pascal Ratet, Institut des Sciences du Végétale, Gif-sur Yvette, France.
