SODIX is a method for the localization of sound sources including the quantification of their directivities. Other source localization methods commonly assume point monopole sources with uniform directivity. The performance of SODIX is compared in this paper with previously published results [9] of conventional delay-and-sum beamforming and the advanced deconvolution methods DAMAS, DAMAS2, CLEAN-SC, TIDY, and LPD by using the same set of array data.
