We calculate the range of predicted values for 10 quantities that will be measured by the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory ~SNO!. We use neutrino oscillation solutions ~vacuum and MSW; active and sterile neutrinos! that are globally consistent with all available neutrino data and estimate realistic theoretical and experimental uncertainties. The neutral current to charged current double ratio is predicted to be more than 9 s from the no-oscillation solution for all of the currently favored neutrino…
Solar neutrinos: Global analysis and implications for SNO
We present a global analysis of all the available solar neutrino data treating consistently the 8B and hep neutrino fluxes as free parameters. The analysis reveals at 99.7% C.L. eight
PROGRESS IN THE PHYSICS OF MASSIVE NEUTRINOS
The current status of the physics of massive neutrinos is reviewed with a forward-looking emphasis. The article begins with the general phenomenology of neutrino oscillations in vacuum and matter and
Measurement of the nue and Total 8B Solar Neutrino Fluxes with theSudbury Neutrino Observatory Phase I Data Set
This article provides the complete description of resultsfrom the Phase I data set of the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO). ThePhase I data set is based on a 0.65 kt-year exposure of heavy water
Neutrino Masses and Mixing: Evidence and Implications
Measurements of various features of the fluxes of atmospheric and solar neutrinos have provided evidence for neutrino oscillations and therefore for neutrino masses and mixing. We review the
Robust signatures of solar neutrino oscillation solutions
With the goal of identifying signatures that select speciflc neutrino oscillation parameters, we test the robustness of global oscillation solutions that flt all the available solar and reactor
Precision measurement of neutrino oscillation parameters : combined three-phase results of the sudbury neutrino observatory
The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory has successfully demonstrated neutrino flavour transformation of the neutrinos produced in the Sun. The use of heavy water as the detection medium allowed a
