SIMILARITIES OF GAUGE AND GRAVITY AMPLITUDES
@inproceedings{BjerrumBohr2006SIMILARITIESOG, title={SIMILARITIES OF GAUGE AND GRAVITY AMPLITUDES}, author={N. Emil J. Bjerrum-Bohr and David C. Dunbar and Harald Ita}, year={2006} }
Perturbative gauge theory and gravity in four dimensions are quite dissimilar from adynamical viewpoint. Gauge theory (e.g. pure Yang-Mills theory) is a renormalisabletheory that is strongly coupled in the infrared and asymptotically free in the ultraviolet.Gravity on the other hand is a weakly coupled theory in the infrared but stronglycoupled in the ultraviolet. By power counting, gravity in four dimensions is potentiallya non-renormalisable theory. Pure gravity scattering amplitudes are…

The loop expansion for the n-point functions of N=4 Yang-Mills theory and N=8 supergravity can be formulated as the loop expansion of scalar field theory with an infinite subclass being the ladder…

The No-Triangle Hypothesis for N=8 Supergravity
- Physics, Mathematics
- 2006
We study the perturbative expansion of = 8 supergravity in four dimensions from the viewpoint of the ``no-triangle'' hypothesis, which states that one-loop graviton amplitudes in = 8 supergravity…
Applications of Subleading-Color Amplitudes in N = 4 SYM Theory
- Geology
- 2011
A number of features and applications of subleading-color amplitudes of N=4 SYM theory are reviewed. Particular attention is given to the IR divergences of the subleading-color amplitudes, the…
