Perturbative gauge theory and gravity in four dimensions are quite dissimilar from adynamical viewpoint. Gauge theory (e.g. pure Yang-Mills theory) is a renormalisabletheory that is strongly coupled in the infrared and asymptotically free in the ultraviolet.Gravity on the other hand is a weakly coupled theory in the infrared but stronglycoupled in the ultraviolet. By power counting, gravity in four dimensions is potentiallya non-renormalisable theory. Pure gravity scattering amplitudes are…

Reggeization of N=8 supergravity and N=4 Yang-Mills theory. II.

The loop expansion for the n-point functions of N=4 Yang-Mills theory and N=8 supergravity can be formulated as the loop expansion of scalar field theory with an infinite subclass being the ladder

Recent years have seen a renewal of interest in recursive calculation of the S-matrix. This has largely been in the context of gluon scattering using helicity variables [1] following [2] which is a

The No-Triangle Hypothesis for N=8 Supergravity

We study the perturbative expansion of = 8 supergravity in four dimensions from the viewpoint of the ``no-triangle'' hypothesis, which states that one-loop graviton amplitudes in = 8 supergravity

Applications of Subleading-Color Amplitudes in N = 4 SYM Theory

A number of features and applications of subleading-color amplitudes of N=4 SYM theory are reviewed. Particular attention is given to the IR divergences of the subleading-color amplitudes, the
